Gobble, Gobble...said the turkey

Create thankful/helping hands to share with others.

Create individual hand print art without creating a product.  Using art supplies; paper, scissors, markers, paint, glue, etc., create thankful hand prints to share in large group and as keepsakes.

Supply the materials and allow the children to create their own masterpieces.

Suggest the children write on each finger what they are thankful for or whys they can help others.

Have examples on display for children who may need some support or encouragement.

Encourage children to share their individual hands during large group.

Fish Themed Finger Play Song

1, 2, 3, 4, 5,

Once I caught a fish alive

6, 7, 8, 9, 10

Then I let him go again,

Why did you let him go?

Because he bit my finger so…

Which finger did he bite?

This little finger on the right.

Fish themed finger play song will enhance circle time activities and encourage development of early literacy and cognitive skills.

St. Patrick's Day Music/Movement

Music/Movement - Print shamrocks on card stock.  Laminate or cover with contact paper and shake, shake, shake!

Shamrock Shake – Hokey Pokey

You put your shamrock in, you put your shamrock out, you put your shamrock in, and you shake it all about.  Do the shamrock shake and you turn yourself around. That’s what it’s all about.

You put your shamrock high, you put your shamrock low, you put your shamrock high and you shake it all about. Do the shamrock shake and you turn yourself around. That’s what it’s all about.

You put your shamrock front, you put your shamrock back, you put your shamrock front, and you shake it all about. Do the shamrock shake and you turn yourself around. That’s what it’s all about.

You put your shamrock side – you put your shamrock side, you put your shamrock side, and you shake it all about. Do the shamrock shake and you turn yourself around. That’s what it’s all about.
